THE EXHIBITION

The exhibition  addresses the importance of women’s activism in the LGBT+ movement, and reveals the historical struggle to win ordinary human rights.  Using personal histories, archive photography and news reports, extraordinary stories of love, endurance and solidarity are honoured and acknowledged.

ART, AGEING & POWER
,
curated by Flourishing Lives.

‘In a social climate where the divisions between older and younger people are frequently magnified and distorted, Flourishing Lives will create an intergenerational arts exchange in Tate Modern that will explore the balance of personal and political power between the different generations, and celebrate the role that art can play in bringing us all closer together. Produced by Flourishing Lives to showcase the immense creativity of older people and explore the power of connecting generations through art.’
